Habiba Ramadan will be joining Inside the Eye – Live! from Cairo, Egypt on Saturday, July 6, 2013, to discuss the Egyptian Revolution of 2011 and the recent events which have unfolded across Egypt.

Habiba is a graduate from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University. She currently works as a researcher in the Egyptian Center for Economical and Social Rights as well as under the International Financial Institutions in relation to Egypt.

Habiba RamadanShe was a winner of the Kennedy Lugar Program which enabled her to spend an academic year in the United States where she spent a year in the State of Indiana with a host American family.

She has volunteered her time to work with refugees in Egypt with the Student Action for Refugees in the American University as well as additional volunteer work with AFS, an organization that works on intercultural programs.

She reported live from Cairo for French radio programs during the 2011 Egyptian Revolution.

Recent political events in Egypt have exploded, resulting in an unprecedented move by the countries military to oust a democratically elected leader based on massive street level democratic expression.
