America’s Retreat from the Middle East – ITEL PT – 12.27.18
As 2019 approaches, Trump seeks to ring in the New Year by shutting down the decades old failed Jewish Neo-con foreign policy that drives war in the Middle East. Seeing how the Democrats and Neocons fight against US$5 billion for border security initiatives that remain a key issue for Trump’s support base. Trump has taken the initiative to impose some of his campaign promises by shutting down large swaths of the Federal government. The United States is literally broke. It has not money to even run itself, so withdrawing troops from Syria is proper in a legal sense, and quite sound from a geopolitical and economic sense.
As negative headlines swirl around President Trump, Trump’s decision to stump in front of the troops at an air base in Iraq seems to have angered many politicians in Iraq’s parliament with some Iraqi politicians calling for the expulsion of US military personnel from Iraq. With some of these calls to expel the United States from Iraq coming from leading parties in the Iraqi parliament, Trump’s Iraq visit has a remote possibility of contributing to a further unintended retreat by America from the Middle East.
On the domestic front(s), we discussed further the issue of “anti-Semitism”, wherein we are being faced with a stark reality: if, in the course of seeking a better life for you and your family and larger society, if Jews label such actions as being “anti-Semitic”, then what Jews are tacitly admitting is that their world view runs counter to the world view of the larger society and hence prove to be incompatible existing within the larger society that hosts Jews.
What we are being faced with is an even starker reality: those who use the term “anti-Semitism”. what we are really looking at is a society that is beyond selfish. Jewish communities are simply telling the balance of society that their interests are first and foremost and if Jews do not get their way, a way that proves to be harmful to the host social order, then Jews will label any counter political efforts as being “anti-Semitic”, thus acknowledging that Jews are opposed to living harmoniously within the societies that host them.
Updates from Syria show that the American military has already begun withdrawing from less protected outposts while reports of convoys heading back to Iraq have begun to surface. With the announced withdrawal of troops from Syria, we are not greeted with the announcement of the UAE reopening their embassy in Damascus, with Bahrain announcing an intention to reopen its Damascus embassy.
Add in some personal anecdotal stories, and you have the makings of a good show.
The first 22 minutes was somewhat marred by an improper microphone codec setting, causing the microphone to be directed to the laptop instead of the mixing board.
