Israel Banned from Paralympics – ITEL Prime Time! 1.17.18
Winter madness settled in for ITEL! Prime Time! for Thursday as we discussed the massive storm that was brewing across most of the middle to northern parts of the Midwest and into the Atlantic and New England states. With a newly re-engineered “studio”, we were able to bring back the listener call-in line which was down for a week due to a Skype application update which took away the feature of adding calls to an existing call.
This recent “studio” upgrade which enables the ability to take calls revealed a minor issue with codec conflicts, resulting in the loss of a large part of the first half hour in combination with a degraded voice quality from The Fetch”.
(This has been debugged and fixed).
What remained of the first half hour was the Oy Vey Moment, which spoke about Malaysia’s banning of Israeli athletes for the upcoming Paralympics in Malaysia. The constant howls of “anti-Semitism” were met with the rather sound and rational observation that Israel does not share any diplomatic recognition of Malaysia and hence Malaysia has no mechanism within which to allow Israelis into Malaysia.
With Israel’s history of conducting terror operations on foreign shores, few can argue with Malaysia’s decision to not recognize Israel and thus have no diplomatic responsibility to honor Jewish requests to enter Malaysia.
Indeed, allowing Jews to enter should be viewed as a major security risk as we Americans learned all too clearly on the “9-11 Terror Attack”.
Michael King from The Tomato Bubble visited in hour 2 to discuss the latest from the New York Slimes and more.
